We will continue with our Appointment-Only Policy so for all visits to the practice including for adjustments and repairs, please telephone the practice in advance.

Due to the ongoing restrictions, we have fewer appointments available so we are continuing to prioritise our patients in order of their need.

If you have any sight problems, eye symptoms or in need of new spectacles please do call the practice.

Also if you are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test or have been asked to self-isolate, you should not attend until advised to do so. Following the latest advice from the Government and our Professional organisations we will continue to stay open as normal during the lockdown.

Wades of Ely are now open on an Appointment-Only Basis

                  Please be assured that we are following strict professional guidelines for the safety of our patients and staff.

How your visit to us will be a little different 

• We’re open on an appointment-only basis to follow the social distancing guidelines

• We will be wearing PPE  and ask you to wear a face covering     
•            
• We will measure your temperature on arrival and ask you to use a hand sanitiser
• We will thoroughly disinfect the test rooms and frames between patients
• We may phone you before your appointment to help us update our records  
•  
• We prefer payment by card and we can arrange for postage for your glasses and contact lenses

We are planning for when we re-open our doors. We wish we could give you a re-opening date to make things easier for you to book your next appointment, but what we can do is to reassure you that we are keeping up to date with current guidance.

When we re-open our doors we will ensure we follow the social distancing guidelines so will only see patients on an allocated basis even for collections. We will also maintain strict hygiene standards.This is to ensure your safety and wellbeing.

If we have advised you that your glasses are ready to collect, we are able to post them to you.

This is not ideal as we would like to ensure they fit well before you wear them. But as the practice is currently closed we are unable to make any adjustments for you. However,  as soon as we are open please do call in so we can check the fit and adjust them to fit perfectly.
